Scores are accurate as of this writing (as per collegeboard). This says nothing about whether schools are liberal, moderate, or conservative in their Christian beliefs.</p>

<p>By request I’m adding 3 more (Harding U, Eastern Mennonite U, and Wisconsin Lutheran). Interestingly enough, Wisconsin Lutheran is the first one I’ve come across that is exclusive to the ACT. If the list were arranged by ACT only, several schools would swap places showing that schools close to each other should be essentially equally academically challenging. <p>No. This list got compiled starting with those I had researched and filling in with some people had requested or mentioned in threads I’d read. Since I’m on the east coast and only considered schools in the eastern half of the US (for the most part), western schools got added by request or when I saw/heard them mentioned (in person or on the board). Since I probably couldn’t name more than 3 or 4 Christian schools prior to researching them for my son, I’m certain there are several that are missing that could be on the list. Anyone can add to it. I’ll add Pepperdine now. To add, just cut and paste what is already there into a new post, then look up stats on collegeboard.com and insert where it belongs. Sometimes that’s a judgment call a little bit. Several could swap a place or two - meaning schools close to each other are essentially the same in academic ability. </p>

<p>As a person looking for decently academic Protestant Christian schools a year ago, I’d have loved to have come across a list like this - hence - I made one when I was done. Perhaps it can help others searching. See the next post below for the list with Pepperdine added. It won’t let me edit previous posts.</p>

Most people who say they are interested in a “Christian college” mean a college that incorporates more-or-less evangelical Protestant Christian teaching into its curriculum and campus life. This does not generally include Catholic colleges. This does not mean that Catholics are not Christians (see numerous prior discussions). In addition, “Christian college” as typically used does not include colleges with a religious affiliation that has no signficant impact on curriculum or campus life (i.e., some colleges that are technically affiliated with mainline Protestant denominations, but which don’t really have much connection with the denomination).</p>

<p>I should add that both evangelical Protestant Christian and Catholic colleges vary significantly in terms of how much religion is integrated into the curriculum and campus life.</p>

<p>This particular list is Protestant as per the first thread - mainly because we are Protestant and all I looked at were Protestant colleges (well, secular too, but…).</p>

<p>Personally, I consider Catholics Christian and think it would be great if someone made a thread comparing their colleges so anyone looking could have a reference. It can’t be me though. I can only name Notre Dame. As others have seen while looking through the thread, I don’t even know all the Protestant colleges.</p>

<p>And, yes, they vary significantly in how much their faith pays a part as well as particulars of faith. I left that part for individuals to determine what the best fit is for them. This list is purely SAT/ACT stats of incoming Freshman so those of us wanting a particular level of academics to start from.</p>

<p>St. Olaf is added in. I didn’t realize they were Christian. I’d heard the name, but knew nothing else about them (similar to my knowledge of Pepperdine). Their stats put them quite high on the list. Anyone can add by the way, just cut and paste using your best judgment on where a new one fits in. Similar colleges could often swap a place or two depending on which stat one prefers. They are also likely similar in their freshman class overall.</p>
