It was an e-mail. I received it about half an hour ago. I submitted my application on November 29th (LORs and transcripts were in before then).

Ok. Congratulations!
Do they have an alternate weekend? Do you mind sharing your profile/stats?

@ IMSAgeek

Any idea as to whether they sent out all the invites or do they have more rounds of invites coming?

I really hope they have an alternate weekend since I have a conflict!

I don’t get the impression that they’re done sending out invites. I called them yesterday and asked when the weekends were and they told me that they wouldn’t send out invites until mid January and that they couldn’t tell me the dates until then. ???

My stats are here:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/graduate-school/995669-2011-official-biosciences-interviews-results-3.html#post1065740164

I imagine my GPA kept me out of MIT. Oh well. (I do get the impression that MIT is likely done. Checking Grad Cafe results, last year all the invites seem to have gone out the same day, and rejections started rolling out the following week.)

OK. Are you a resident of United States?

I have also applied to Watson. They told me the same thing when I called them, that they will be sending out emails during Mid-Jan. I am an international student, but currently in US.

I’m not quite as smart as most of you, so I didn’t apply to top tier schools, but am hoping some of you can offer input on when the schools I did apply to send interview invites.

The schools that I applied to (all Neuroscience programs) are:
Oregon Health and Science University
University of Alabama Birmingham
Washington University St. Louis
University of Minnesota

@MolBiologist

Yes, I’m a US citizen.

Good luck!

ETA: Alternative weekend is Feb 3-6.

Krypton, any insider info on when TETRAD committee is meeting? I was hoping invites might go out today, but it looks like next week is more likely…

@ADresearcher

I already got a rejection email from OHSU, as did several other people according to thegradcafe.com so if you didn’t get a rejection yet I’d say you still have a chance at an interview invite

@immuno2011

Nope, no email, but I’m not too worried about it yet. It took Tufts a few days after the phone call the email as well, so I think it’s probably normal to have a bit of lag time.
See you there!

@rabbitstew

What Tufts ISP program are you looking at? I’m interviewing there as well Jan 28th, hoping to go for Neuro.

@ IMSAgeek…

So are you going for the Feb 3-6 interview?

@ ADresearcher

I know that the cell and molecular biology department at U of Minnesota has sent out invites…
Dont know about neurosciences…

@MolBiologist
Yes, I’m going Feb 3-6.

@ ADresearcher
I’ve already gotten an invite to UAB in the GBS Biochemistry and Structural Biology program, for next week. However I dont know about their other programs.

Hey, has anyone heard from Stanford Biosciences yet?

@ jgi323

This was just posted in Gradcafe:
Stanford University Biosciences (Chemical And Systems Biology, CSB), PhD (F11) Interview via E-mail on 7 Jan 2011 A 7 Jan 2011
Half an hour ago. “We just finished our admissions process among all 13 of the Stanford home programs.” [in biosciences]

If Stanford is done with the admissions process, when are they going to send out invites? Or are they dine sending out invites?

@ignignokt6

Molecular microbiology, I prefer microbes to humans. :D

My Mount Sinai (GSBS) application is missing my GRE scores… I sent them at Out, 10th… Is it happening with anyone of you, Guys? Their dead line was Jan, 1st. What should I do?
