2012 J-Term Courses

I was wondering if/when a schedule of courses for j-term is going to be up. Or any ideas of what might be offered. I'm not sure if I'll come back for j-term (need to book flight home/back soon), and a fun course or two might make me want to stay.

They are listed on page 305 of the course catalog which everyone received during orientation. I imagine they are on the web site as well.

A lot of the courses that are taught by volunteers probably arent’ on the schedule yet, so what’s printed in the course catalogue is unlikely to be the complete list (probably what’s in the course catalogue are the courses being offered for credit? I’d need to look at it to see).

Even if you don’t come back for the entirety of J-Term, think about trying to come back for the last week or so. I once stayed home for all of J-Term and not only was that way too much time at home, but getting back on the last day of J-term meant I had zero prep time to get ready for the new semester and it really sucked.

Personally, I love J-Term. I stayed every year (except my aforementioned first year) and it was always fun. I worked, most of my friends were there either working or taking classes, and we would spend the rest of the time watching movies, playing in the snow, making smores, we once had a hot dog roast using our house fireplace. Basically we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the campus, without all the pressures of term-time. We read for pleasure, went to the art museum, attended concerts, took getaway trips to Boston. I have only good memories of J-Term.
