that’s really weird. I got my Columbia ID maybe two or three days after I submitted my application. Your tracker ID is different from your ApplyYourself ID. Granted… I did apply through the College of Physicians & Surgeons so if you guys did it through GSAS… maybe there’s a longer wait period? If you applied through P&S, I would call asap.

yah, prob like top few percent people on these forums. definitely not representative of the entire application pool. this forum, especially, is really a bummer, since i have a low low GPA and everyone else has amazing stats. hopefully, having tons of research experience and 10+ publications will make that horrendous GPA irrelevant. :)

It must be! Because TETRAD invites are alwayssss in January. And they alwaysss call, not email.
Hopefully.
Right?

lol hmmm… 10+ publications or high GPA? I’d take the 10+ publications any day (assuming they are relevant). I wouldn’t worry about it. :)

I applied to the College of Physicians and Surgeons too…
I just emailed hopefully it’s okay.

I applied through P&S as well. I’m emailing them too…

I applied to Columbia via Neurobiology and Behavior and didn’t receive an ID. Based on Google searches it seems like a common problem with specific programs.

I emailed their admissions a few days ago about the problem (mainly concerned because another institution had issues with my the same transcript batch) and haven’t heard back. Not really surprised given what I’ve heard about Columbia, but whatever.

haha jayeyesee, i wish i could stop worrying. my fingernails have taken a beating, lately. :)

heh, this thread is picking up steam. 'bout time.

lol what have you heard about Columbia Muihtil?

elephant, over 10 publications, that’s awesome…now everyone is scared of YOU! :)

haha, i’m flattered, but i just got lucky. very very lucky. :)

is anyone here applying to evolution and ecology or molecular evolution programs? Or am I the only one?

either the person who posted interview from Tetrad has super awesome letter of rec saying he/she is the best thing ever in the field to back up the stats, or he/she posted fake stats, or he/she just posted on gradcafe something like that to discourage people.

Do people really do that to scare other people?

I received my Columbia App ID 2/3 days after I submitted my application. Be patient, this year there is an unusually high number of applicants applying to Columbia SPS.

Gradcafe is evil. I now know more about the university of central florida speech pathology program than I thought possible (if you were following it about a few weeks back, you know what I’m talking about!)

But in all seriousness, those posts aren’t monitored at all so I could go on right now and say I got straight accepted into Harvard BBS with a 2.0 GPA and no research experience. I wouldn’t worry too much, as we noted, this thread is FULL of top applicants so I would trust here more than GC.

If anyone is applying to the Columbia Integrated program, the interview weekends are Jan 20th and 27th.

I don’t know about UCSF TETRAD, but the UCSF BME program sends their invites out in mid December.

For those of you freaking out, I didn’t get interview invites until the 2nd week of January and I had interviews the first week in February, so the turn around time can be quite short.

Do you hear anything back from the program?
