<p>I hope to hear from UCLA ACCESS but seems like the bulk invitations were sent out this week. What are the dates for the interview weekends at UCLA?</p>

<p>@ MicroB2012 and trekker02: Thanks for sharing your similar feelings. It feels good knowing that other applicants feel the exact same way. Its like an emotional roller coaster but hopefully all of it will pay off as we start getting interviews very soon! :)</p>
<p>@ hontoOishi I so understand your disappointment when you get those stupid abercrombie emails! Im seriously considering blocking all spam from stores like that because I get so excited when I get an email, only to find out some store i shopped at once has free shipping.</p>
<p>Does anyone know whether schools will continue to send stuff out over the weekend? I’m assuming we wont hear anything on monday and tuesday, but what about the few days before new years? Do you think admission committees ever meet during that time?</p>

<p>@Biophysics: Yeah, I did send them my official transcripts. I would shoot them an email or give them a call.</p>
<p>Also, how many people heard from UCSD Bio? I mixed up SOPs and sent them the wrong one at first and didn’t notice till after submitting the app. Emailed them the right copy, but I’m still a little anxious about that mixup :P</p>

<p>Too bad. I honestly did expect at least interview invites, I mean, I have the right numbers and they can always trim me later. Even so, kinda sad.</p>

<p>Just finished my worst semester grade wise…as a senior…that took my GPA down after submitting my grad applications. I thought I had an alright application, but this application process has been killing my study time. I wouldn’t say I’ve been experiencing a downward trend, but I could have definitely been doing better…do you think grad schools are going to hate that? I’ve received some interview invites already, but I’m afraid they’re going to reconsider an admission after they see these new grades…</p>

Sorry for the late reply. i took the old GRE V:94% Q:90% AW:11%. I know… Awkward writing score… GPA is 3.5. I graduated foreign university but hold US citizenship. </p>

<p>@abyj85: You have me beat on everything but the AW (72%) and GPA (3.77). I wonder what they are looking for since they said research experience is helpful but not necessary (I have 2 years and a first author submission). They must want near perfect GRE with 4.0. What annoyed me is that when I spoke to the admissions people and told them my background they told me I was “extremely competitive” and were very interested. I wish when someone is rejected the school would give the person an idea as to why.</p>

<p>@ Neuron17 With you again, Weill invite!!! I’m very excited as this is one of my top choices! I applied to columbia’s integrated program (which it seems to me they’ve stopped sending invites and in the past haven’t sent any more out after christmas) but did list neuro as a second choice so perhaps I’ll get lucky! I would imagine if they dont find me competitive for the umbrella program though, neuro is off the table too, oh well!</p>

<p>@neurogirl85: I contacted UCSD Bio a week ago asking when they would be sending out interview offers. They mentioned the first week of January, so, even though some UCSD invites have been sent already, I wouldn’t be too worried; there may still be plenty to go around! =)</p>
