Ugh, the Career Center who sends out all of my letters went on vacation till Jan 2nd for break without sending out letters to one of my schools due on Jan 1st. Are schools lenient about giving letters a day or 2 extra to get sent out?

@Trickster31

Yes, many schools are very lenient about it because they know profs and PIs are huge procrastinators. Try not to sweat it - I had a similar situation and even Harvard was chill about it.

Erbbie3: I just got an email from the associate dean saying that they are going to send out details about the entire events very soon.

Thanks, MicroB2012! I didn’t send the dean an email, I just sent one to Maria. Maybe I should?

Anyone on here apply to the NIH Ox/Cam program? If so what are your stats? I’m trying to determine my chances compared to other applicants.

Got an interview request from University of Washington Immunology via email! Ahhhh! I am in shock… Christmas came early for me today! I didn’t know decisions would come during the holidays.

anyone here has to reschedule your interview to a weekday because you can’t attend the regular interview weekend? do you think it would affect your chance of getting in?

@hontoOishi

That’s awesome, congrats! Your stats are comparable to mine, so that gives me hope the UWash Pathology program will show interest. I was getting the impression they’re only taking superstars over there.

@ss2player Thanks for the congrats! I’ve always had the impression that I couldn’t get into the top 10-20 schools with my GPA and GRE scores but after getting two invites, I realized that research experience and LORs are much more important! Hang in there and you should be getting some good news soon too ;)

@morphogen Did you receive Berkeley MCB invite by email? Do you know if they will send out more invites after break? It’s my top choice now, but of course my furthest reach school. Haven’t heard a thing yet… Congrats to you though! :)

Congratulations, hontoOishi! I couldn’t help but laugh/empathise with your previous post about receiving e-mails from Abercrombie! But, yes, good news is good!

@Th2Cell Thanks hehe. Yeah I was going through some dark times then. This whole application process really messes with one’s mind. It’ll all turn out alright once we’re grad students next fall. Maybe then I’ll actually take the time to read those Abercrombie emails and navigate their site for some online goods!

Weill Cornell School of Medical science, Immunology And Microbial Pathogenesis interview invitation received. Best Christmas present. Feb-13-15

@dnsoroka

Well, it was originally by phone call but my phone was off so I received a follow-up email for the invitation. I’m not sure if they will continue to offer any more but the weekends are in early and late february so theres still time for invites. Best of luck to you this season and happy holidays.

hontoOishi: You’re a stronger person than I: I ended up splurging at Calvin Klein…I am choosing to look at it as an investment for interview season!

does anyone know what interview dates are available for UPENN Neuroscience (NGG) this year? have they sent out invites already?

princebear: According to Gradcafe, UPenn Neuro sent out interview in early Dec.[Pennsylvania Neuroscience • thegradcafe.com](<a href=“Grad School Admissions Results for 2006–2023 • thegradcafe.com”>Grad School Admissions Results for 2006–2023 • thegradcafe.com)

Just got the rejection from UW-Seattle…just waiting for the heavy hitters now

@princebear & @microB2012 - in the notes i compiled weeks ago, I have several references to Upenn invites. I was expecting at least one first invite the week of Dec 10 - 14, then more possible the following week. We ended up with 4 on the 12th and one on the 17th. So my notes somewhat jived. Additionally, my notes then showed that in the past it is possible that more invites go out the second week of January.

For full disclosure, of all the school I have notes on, there are only two schools that have made sense: Upenn and Cornell Weil. To the negative, my notes predicted that the Columbia invites would all be completed before xmas. I have seen none. We’ll see what January brings.
