**2013 Fall UCSD Transfer Decisions Thread **

@wintergreen, don’t worry about making me worried! I agree with you that it could be more a sign that they have a decision. I hope so, anyway. Thanks for your input though, good to know another human bio had the message change. I hope it’s a good sign for you, and I hope it changes for me soon, haha.

anyone tried to authorize payer?

the message i got is:

We’re sorry, but you are not eligible to authorize a payer until the day after you have accepted our offer of admission.
If you have any questions please contact Student Business Services.

what do you guys have?

what about the financial aid page? what do you see?

The message change is exactly the same as last year. And every single one of those people that participated in the boards that had this change got in. No one that didn’t get the message change got in. It seems like it requires a message change to get in. But several people had there message change at the very very end of the month and get in. Out of the 40 people I surveyed the results from 2012 and 2011 only one person was an exception and got in without the message. In my opinion it seems there’s an extremely high chance you are in if you have the message change and if not just keep waiting on/hoping for the change.

@mermeid, I get the same thing you do when I try to authorize a payer… I think everyone has that though. My financial aid page says they haven’t received my FAFSA, but I applied for it and UCSD was included in my list.

@ucplease42, thanks!! Hope the message thing is for real an indicator, so we can prove this again for next year’s transfer. lol… this wait is so long~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

@SBVett my financial aid says my aid is complete and i have a mandatory task. just like the post #832.

Hoping that LA berk and SD all come out on Friday…

Okay the only thing is that I didn’t check my housing tab until today; so I don’t know if it ever “changed” but that’s just what I saw today.

@SBVett thank you so much! I am pretty sure ur message is going to change soon! (If that’s in fact an indication of acceptance lol) Hope both us can get in  and I saw your post like couple days ago and you have a 4.0! Jeez I wouldn’t even worry about no damn housing message if i had a 4.0…Haha Anyways good luck to you too! :-)

My housing message hasn’t changed. But I can authorize a payer on Tritonlink and I have a UCSD email. But my financial aid doesn’t show up even though I submitted FAFSA for UCSD… So confused!!

I’m praying I’m one of those people who’s housing message changes right before the acceptance. it seems like that was the case for a lot of people last year…

Maybe they’re updating the site. I can’t get on…

“System Error. Please report the following to the Customer Service Representative or call the ACT Help Desk at (858) 534-1853 or (858) 534-3187 (after business hours).”

It’s been happening throughout the day.

Just logged in… same old story.

Hello guys, I got a really weird problem. I log in successfully, but it directs me to the page shows “Link Family” I have no idea what’s that, is anyone getting the same problem as mine?

Happens to me here and there. Make sure you are going to myapplication.ucsd.edu. I know on my google chrome one of the options is something “blink” and I always click it by accident.

So I heard a rumor that bio isn’t impacted at UCSD anymore… can anyone confirm this?

I currently go to UCSD, yes we got an email about the impacted status being lifted about a week or so ago

Ahh that’s lovely news for people that already go there! But for those of us applying, does that help our chances? I know UCSD used to have very limited spots in their bio school, is this still the case?

On UCSD’s website (biology dept)

“As of Spring 2013, all biology majors are open to all undergraduate students. Any student may declare or change to one of the eight biology majors. Those who are admitted to UC San Diego, but not to one of the majors offered by the Division of Biological Sciences, may change majors once enrolled at UCSD.”

Wish it was the same for mechanical engineering!! :P

^ omg yay!! I hope this means I have a greater chance of getting in! Sorry about M.E :P
