I know its been 4 days, but does anyone remember what they put for their two answers to the first passage about I think it was Petrarch?

Do you remember the questions?

@NickSaban Alright, I know I’m really late, and we haven’t discussed this since yesterday, but I think I understand now how I misread the question about rural farmers and transportation. I thought that the question was asking what the author of Passage 1 would believe is most significant about the DESCRIPTION of small farmers mentioned in Passage 2. Lol. My bad.

Cminman, did you put insuffient because direct contact was needed?

What are your predictions for cutoffs? Will they go down???

Yeah, I believe I did. Some of the people on here are delusional, I think, because nothing was said in the passage about direct experience’s not being needed.

Also, illustrating the problem in ordinary terms doesn’t really make sense. I’ve spoken to a lot of people about this question, and no one else seems to have chosen any other answer.

What did you put for the confrontational vs passive question? Will that be removed. I still don’t see what’s wrong with confrontational.

Yeah I’m fairly confident that the one about Passage 1’s response to the cows in the zoo would be insufficient. My guess about the vocab one (I got it wrong, I said auxiliary…exult) is that it’s not confrontational…reciprocate because to reciprocate is to return a favor with a similar favor, and there’s no indication that anyone paid the lady a favor.

Yeah, that will probably be removed. It seems like everyone had a different answer for that question. And I think I put “submissive…acquiesce”. But I doubt that’s right.

I’d be happy to see that one removed, as I got that one wrong. How often does that happen?

I have no idea. But it seems like there’s a lot more controversy over questions on this PSAT than on any other PSAT I’ve taken…

so cow and potato = direct experience?

yep, pretty positive on that one.

That question will not be removed. Confrontational and reciprocate are completely wrong. “She did not refuse to reciprocate the opportunity to speak” makes no sense. I’m sorry. That’s wrong. I picked submissive and acquiesce. That’s wrong too. The answer is clearly passive and balk. Sadly I read that one wrong. Questions don’t get thrown out, and even if they do, this one won’t. It has an obvious answer…

I also doubt it will be removed.

@NickSaban There’s no reason to be so assertive. We’re all friends here, lol.

Did you guys all say something like icon…credibility for the vocab CR question about the country singer exaggerating his heartland roots? I’m pretty sure about this one but as most of the tougher questions have been resolved, I just want to be certain about the easier ones.

Also, am I going crazy or was there a question in the Japanese passage about what the main purpose of the passage was? And if so, was the answer something about illustrating the nature of Gen or the translator’s reaction to Gen? Sorry for the lack of detail, I don’t really remember this one too well.

@ckoepp127

I think I know which question you’re referring to. For that one, I chose the answer choice that stated " the narrator’s appreciation for Gen’s skills". For me, it was the only answer choice that actually fit within the context. Most of the other choices seemed quite far-fetched.

That sounds about right. Thanks.

I feel like the only one who did well on the Writing AND Critical Reading . . .

But then, math was difficult for me, so I guess it evens out
Scores will come out around December, right? I don’t think I’ll qualify for National Merits.
