2013 supplemental essay question

the unc supplement question i am answering is what is your favorite comfort food and why..is it really ok to spend an entire essay about my love of pop tarts and how they represent my inner rebel/child? im worried that its not going to be useful since im not really talking about myself in terms of my academics or accomplishments, just my love of pop tarts..is that ok can my essay really just be about me as a person not a student? i feel like i should be selling myself with the supplement, but im not really doing that here

LOL…would they have asked the question if they wanted you to talk about your “accomplishments and academics”?

The question is designed for you to be creative…not to boast

i guess so, it just feels weird for it to be ok to be creative and ot of the boxish, but i guess il give it a try, thank you

They would love a story about PopTarts because UNC now sells Tarheel Poptarts!!! [The Daily Tar Heel :: UNC Pop-Tarts will debut in Student Stores on Sept. 1](http://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2012/08/unc-pop-tarts-to-debut)

i think pop tarts is a great topic and definitely out of the box
