Thanks M2CK! DS did a second look visit at one of the schools. He said it helped him decide which school he will choose. So unless any more waitlists turn into acceptances he will have one school chosen by the end of the month. He plans to release the other acceptance so someone else can have the slot!
D went to second look recently at her favorite school and is ready to decide. Only problem is she is still waiting on financial aid packages from a couple other schools. She is giving them a few more days. I doubt they will make any change to her decision, since she seems very set.
This application season is almost over and then the journey really begins!
Hope everyone has made their decisions (unless there’s a dreaded waitlist still out there). DS is happy with his choice. I can’t believe he’s almost done with college and getting ready for medical school. Where did the time go?
Good luck to all as your S/Ds begin this new exciting venture! We helped D move into her tiny apartment this weekend. She starts med school in a couple of weeks. Already a few social events for the students to get to know each other. She is nervous but actually looking forward to studying again!
Hope the move in went well, dheldreth! We are slowly moving our D into her shared apartment over the next couple of weeks. She has a pretty late med school start and is truly enjoying not doing much of anything this summer. She worked pretty hard the last 4 summers and will going forward, so we are happily letting her relax and enjoy this one on our dime. She is also nervous about starting med school, but very excited as well.
