@lindyk8 they’ve put screens now.!!! This year!!!

@Collegewiz15 haha. THANK GOD!

Is this it? The calm before the storm? Will we wake up tomorrow to a flurry of “Accepted!!!” posts? Will UCSD make history and retain the title of “Most Inefficient Admissions Portal” when a system error occurs for the entire weekend? Who will be rejected? Who will be waitlisted? Who will be your next American Idol!?!

Tune in tomorrow and find out!

Has there been any rejection letter to be sent out?

I noticed that there were some rejections from UCSB but I do not know whether UCSD has released some…

Anyone’s housing application message changed? :(

lol, good one @underdog1

@transfersammy, mine is still:

“Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm.”

@theunderdog1 bahaha

what time were decisions released the last batch?

@RamonaFalls looks like the first post about acceptance was at 3:23 pm. So in the afternoon, but again guys I would not bank on tomorrow as the post before that first acceptance talked about how they all were going to have to wait another two weeks.

It seemed unexpected, and when I look at years before that there is really no consistent pattern of releases for these UCSD decisions. In 2012 the second batch didn’t come out until the 3rd week of April! I mean I certainly hope tomorrow is the day, but I am also very doubtful.

Prove me wrong UCSD! Prove me wrong!

I guess it will not be released tomorrow because I do not see the housing application message changed…

I wonder whether the housing message really matters?

Yeah, regardless of a housing message trick, I would expect some sort of downtime on their admissions portal at this point if they were readying some decisions.

It really doesn’t. People need to let that go.

I keep refreshing this thread and my portal. Please UCSD give us a chance to rest

I don’t know if there will be any rest for you if you are depending on these decisions to come soon. I just got finished looking through the past few years, and it is sad the amount of stress some people went through waiting for their decisions.

The people in the threads would set an unconfirmed release date, spend all this time counting down, spend literally all day checking for decisions, then realize they weren’t coming, and they would flip out. I swear I think some of those people probably put a hole in the wall, and broke a glass or two when they realized they had to wait two more weeks to get their decisions.

I suggest everyone remove tomorrow from their mind as an option. Then be pleasantly surprised if it happens.

hi guys I have a Q. how can I check my housing message?!

@TheUnderdog1 Too true! Waiting sucks regardless… this whole application process is very much a “prepare for the worst, hope for the best,” sort of thing. We all need to be strong and stick it out; mentally prepare ourselves not to hear back till the 31st.
