Has anyone heard from Stanford at all, as in emails regarding either financial aid or application information?
I haven't heard anything and I'm wondering if I should just abandon all hope of getting in...

i got in REA… don’t worry… i didn’t get ANYTHING from Stanford (solicitation, emails, letters, NOTHING) until i got the email that i was accepted. After that they send you a ton of stuff, people call you… its actually really nice. just wait, they have too many applicants to talk to everyone.

Great. Thanx, I was freaking cuz all the other schools were contacting about finaid stuff already. Of course, never any promises with Stanford…
Congrats!

i’m definitely anxious to hear from stanford! i just wanna know right now if it’s a yes or no. especially after getting rejected from my dream school

no emails, but here’s their admissions blog:

so decisions will be emailed on 4/1 after 3PM Pacific time. I wonder what “after” means …

also … 6% acceptance rate?? that’s worrying - is it usually that low? I know Stanford is crazy selective, but that seems pretty extreme.

Nope. CollegeBoard states that the rate is 7%, and further down on the News page it says that Stanford had a “record year” for quantity of applications.

Oh, and to (not) make you feel better, according to the Wall Street Journal (or maybe it was NY Times) Stanford expects their class size (not the number of accepted students, but the number who actually end up attending) to be around 1,725 this fall. They already sent out 750 acceptance letters in early decision, which means that there COULD be under 1,000 open spaces left in the class. In a squeaky mouse voice, EEEEK!

Best of luck to you all.

I’m worrying again… 5 days!!

Didn’t mean to stir up the nerves again Guess I’m getting jittery too …

6%… That’s freakin’ low!!! The long wait is almost over…

With 2200 more applications this year, Stanford’s acceptance rate will be so low. Geez…I’m so nervous. I’ve been frantically checking my email for the last 5 days, but I doubt I’ll even open the email once I get it.

But anyway, I’ve heard that decisions will be released tomorrow (29th) at 3PM PST. Just have to wait, and see if the Stanford admissions blog has a new post tomorrow.

I’ve heard from a bunch of different sources (including the official Stanford email, guys) that they will start sending out emails at 3 pm PST on Friday.

To quote from the email I got saying my application was complete:
“We expect decisions will be sent via email from Dean Richard Shaw on April 1 after 3pm (Pacific Time).”

I don’t know if I can make it.

It will be the last school I will hear from.

^ apparently it is now being released today after 3pm PST…

confirmed

“Admission decisions will, in fact, be released sometime after 3pm (Pacific Time) today, March 29, several days ahead of schedule.”

ugh…waitlisted this is now my 6th waitlist. Is it normal to get this many waitlists? Or is this year a special year…

rejected! oh well, I did the best I can!

@diriris1 Same!

accepted! and so happy:)

Caught off guard, rejected, and completely crushed. :(
