2015 Verification

My S and his dad see it the way you do that there is no reason to change the financial aid status to “verification” unless the process is moving toward acceptance. So they see it as a positive sign. I’m not certain though it doesn’t make sense to start setting up your accounts for verification if you wont be admitted, but there’s always the chance that it’s to be waitlisted. Have you been asked to do verification by any other schools?

Best of luck to your S @neonpinklime When you’re accepted to Vandy remember the Squirrel ratio ;)

If documents need to be submitted after acceptance (April 1st for many colleges), it just seems like there will not be much time to make a decision by May 1st if final need/financial aid offers are not made at admission time. I still have several OOS colleges to visit with my daughter if the aid offers make the school viable. Do they send out offers based on the numbers you originally sent in, and if the numbers are accurate, the offer will stand?

@yellowgranite56 - yes. The tax forms mailed to IDOC are used to verify the information you gave them on the CSS profile. If your forms match the figures you used on the profile, your final financial aid award will be the same as the one you get with your acceptance letter.
