The ACT was slightly altered for 2015, but apparently, more significant changes are coming in 2016. The Reading will include comparison between passages and the Math test will have more logical problem solving involving statistics and probability. I believe the Science is changing too, but I am not sure in what way. How should we prep for this new exam? Are there any prep books out yet that are geared towards the new format? I would like to start practicing early, so what are some things that I can do this summer to prep?
All the changes you just mentioned have already occurred. They’ve been in effect for a year now. The one major change still to come is the essay. It is completely changing.
Try to get any of the TIRs from June 2014 until now, but ignore the Essay in them because they contain the old format Essay. Get the latest Preparing for the ACT booklet; it has a sample of what the new Essay looks like.
How can I get a related TIR if I have never done the test ?
@blink24 Here are the distributions for the science test. These changes went into effect last summer (2014).
Data Representation (30-40%). 12-16 questions. Old distribution was 15 questions/3 passages.
Research Summaries (45-55%). 18-22 questions. Old distribution was 18 questions in 3 passages
Conflicting Viewpoints (15-20%). 6-8 questions. Old distribution was 7 questions.

The description for Math currently says:

Questions in this content area are based on basic operations using whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and integers; place value; square roots and approximations; the concept of exponents; scientific notation; factors; ratio, proportion, and percent; linear equations in one variable; absolute value and ordering numbers by value; elementary counting techniques and SIMPLE PROBABILITY; data collection, representation, and interpretation; and understanding SIMPLE DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS (emphasis mine).

Does anyone have examples from real tests on the probability and statistics type of questions? Trying to make sure we have that covered in prep. Thanks!
