Okay, as a preface - my high school transcripts are absolutely awful. Not like straight F’s, but let’s just say they were pretty bad. I ended up graduating a few months after I was supposed to, to make up classes I couldn’t finish in H.S.
Present-day: I’m doing phenomenal in College, and by the end of the spring term, I will have about 35-40 units completed. I’m also an avid volunteer, and get involved in my community as often as I can.
I do know that HS transcripts must be provided (mainly to confirm graduation date), and I also know from reaching out to an admission counselor that if you have 30+ units by THE END OF SPRING SEMESTER, not the application deadline, they disregard your SAT/ACT scores as well as your HS GPA. Has anyone been in a similar situation and gotten accepted or declined? I just want to know if they appreciate obvious effort, or if my HS grades will be the cause of my downfall.
