2018 Transfer Accounting: Fullerton or UCR

Hi everyone,

Im a transfer student studying accounting. I just got accepted to Fullerton yesterday and think i will be accepted into UCR because of my 3.8 gpa. I was wondering which school is better for accounting and why? What is recruiting, job prospects, and campus life for both. Appreciate any input!

(I also applied to cal poly pomona, sdsu, and tagged to ucsb (no longer considering ucsb because of econ 10a)

all of them are good schools, pick the one where you think you will excel.

Long time So Cal CPA here, USCB is probably actually the best choice recruiting wise (not sure what econ 10a is?).

UCR, SDSU & CSUF are all good choices. Nothing against CPP, but I like the other choice better for accounting.

Final question, do you know where you want to work & live when you graduate?

Hi! Thanks for the the reply. Econ 10a is a weeder course that requires transfer students to obtain a B or else they arent allowed into the major. Over 50% of students fail the class and arent allowed to retake putting them in a difficult situation. To answer your question: I have not exactly decided where I want to live after I gtaduate but im pretty open to going where the jobs are. May I ask what company you work for?

Thanks for the input

@Here4answers - I have my own little CPA firm these days, I worked at Deloitte and Ernst & Young back before you were born…

feel free to message me if you need anything

@arc918 hmm, a little cpa firm that might be willing to offer a complete stranger a small summer internship (even answering phones) during summer?

@Here4answers - nicely done! Let’s see if we can figure something out.

I’ll message you my email and we can go from there.
