Congratulations to both of your kids! When do you need to accept the offers?
My son also get waitlisted. Does anyone know what’s the rough percentage of the students they put on the waiting list? How likely the students will be accepted from the waiting list?
By March 15. Hope you will get a chance to be admitted too!
Thank you. So, only 2 weeks to make the decision? That’s short.
10 days. Placement tests start next month. Orientations, course selection and time constraints, master schedule are all happening in the next two months.
Yeah, you are right, only 10 days. Thank you for sharing the info.
I submitted a video essay–TBH, I think it’s a crucial part of the application. It was optional, but I feel as though it would benefit one’s application greatly.
ditto…chose the optional video essay over the actual real-time interview for my younger applicants. It allows you to pick your own topic to talk about vs being put on the spot by the interviewer.
Please tell your daughter she should try again. My daughter applied for 8th and was rejected. Then again for 10th and accepted. All stats were basically the same the only difference she could see was her essay and maybe she showed a lot more interest in attending OHs. When she applied in 8th she was pretty ambivalent about attending, when she applied for 10th she knew she needed to get out of her current school.
Thanks for sharing!
Just curious around how many students are accepted to each grade and if there is space limit to each grade. Beside the 7th, if more spaces open in 9th than other graders as the first year of HS?
Does anyone know any data/info about the waitlist? What’s the percentage? How likely they will accept the students from the waitlist?
