Did you put the honey on after roasting only?

Yes…my recipe calls for cutting the brussel sprouts in half. Mix with a small amount of olive oil and a bit of kosher salt. Roast at 425 for 25 minutes.

Mix together 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey. So…we used the hot honey.

When the brussel sprouts are done cooking…put in a bowl, and add the honey/balsamic mixture. Toss well.

The hot honey gave it just a teeny bit of zip! It was delicious!

@thumper1
This is now on the menu for Sunday night - sounds so good ! Thank you.

I did the exact same thing last night!!

I had a 2 lb. bag of brussel sprouts from Costco, so we had them for several meals as it is just the two of us! I usual roast and add balsamic, but didn’t think of adding the Mike’s. I will have to do so the next time.

@Hoggirl did you like it with the hot honey? We did…and will do it again. It really didn’t change the taste a lot….but gave it a small amount of zip.

Oh, yes!! We did. The roasting and then balsamic vinegar + honey after is how I almost always do our Brussels, and this time I just grabbed the hot honey. Definitely thought it kicked the flavor up a notch!

This is the 2021 thread. There is another thread for 2022.

I just started reading through this thread and I’m amazed at how much stuff I missed from last year so I’m ordering it now as I read the posts.

I love this website! You all are all so awesome and helpful!

So my 2021 waxed amaryllis spent the year outside. No buds to be seen but it does have nice leaves!
