New thread for instant pot recipes. I’ll start. This one was terrific!
I have made that onion soup and it not only tastes great but the house smells great too.
Posting a couple of my tried and true RECIPES. I also regularly make stuffed peppers and beef roast in the Instant Pot
This is my GO-TO recipe for when people are coming over at the last minute for dinner. It’s good with chicken (or rotisserie chicken) but we love it with italian sausage.
Butternut Squash Soup so fast!
Vegetarian dish - warm and comforting!
Fast and no fancy ingredients
I could DRINK this sauce!
Looking forward to seeing some new recipe posts!
I was just in Paris a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed this soup several times. Look forward to this!
Quick and easy. Family favorite. I add a little more hot sauce.
Favorites for family dinner nights.
I had a whole head of cabbage that I wanted to use up. I love braised cabbage. Used this recipe and then at the end I added a couple spoons of brown sugar and when I eSt mine I also like to put a hot sauce on it. Loved that it sort of had a little broth in it.
I’ll be eating it for a few days - H wouldn’t touch it! Easy and quick
Made potato and corn chowder in my instant pot tonight.
Sautéed garlic and onions. Added the potatoes with 1 1/2 cup water and chicken bouillon. Cooked for 10 minutes.
Quick release and turned pot to sauté. Added 1 cup milk mixed with a tablespoon of cornstarch. Cooked until thickened. Added corn and tablespoon of cream cheese to heat.
Topped with bacon and a little bit of shredded cheddar.
My husband asked for a thinner soup. I didn’t but could have mashed the potatoes for a thicker stew.
Easy and fast., made 2 servings.
Would love to see some “new” to you - or to us Instant Pot recipes! Summer is a great time to use an IP and not heat up the house and also to free up time to go other things.
Is there a recent IP recipe you enjoyed??
I made this last week and I really liked it! Topped with some sour cream and extra cheese…I would have liked some avocado on there too but I didn’t have any.
Too big, too fast? Can’t supply the demand?
That’s really too bad. It’s a great product especially for folks like me who used a regular pressure cooker back in the day!
It’s a chapter 11 so hopefully they’ll emerge leaner and stronger.
To me, it seems like the business plan wasn’t very good. Robert Wang, the IP inventor, bet the farm when he set out to create the IP. Through hard work and high risk ($300k of his own money), he created a culturally iconic product. He saw a need, and had a vision for how to fill that need. After many years and iterations, the success of the IP progressed to the point of selling 300,000 in one Prime Day.
When Wang’s company merged a few years ago, I assume he was paid a lot of money. He cashed in. But he was kept on board in the new company as chief innovation officer. The new company was expecting him to repeat the success of the IP by creating other products. That’s like asking Zuckerberg to invent another Facebook. Impossible.
So here we are.
I generally agree with you other than the Zuck - FB comparison. Given resources, a team under a talented leader can create many gadgets (look at Dyson!). The merger with Corelle etc. was not good. Old, boring stuff without any clear relationship to the more techie kitchen gizmos, and a money loser to boot.
I liked that Quick Instant Pot Potato Salad recipe. I loved the convenience of doing the potatoes and eggs at the same time in the IP. Both the potatoes and eggs came out just right. This is a good basic preparation technique than can easily be tweaked with your favorite additions. I love potato salad in the summer but store bought potato salad is always terrible.
Oh my gosh, it just seems crazy you can pressure cook a whole egg in its shell! Wow.
