Hello,
I am a current freshman, however, I am hoping to transfer for sophomore year. I am planning to do a double major in Dance and Psychology + I would really like to do a minor in theatre (I know this sounds like a lot, but it actually makes a lot of sense for what I want to do as a career, though that is too much to get into right now.)
Anyway, to do this I would need to take 21 credit hours per semester + take a total of 8 classes in the summer sometime to graduate on schedule. I went through the degree credit requirements and found this breakdown:
-University specific courses: 8 credits (I have CLEPed out of most of the ones I need)
-Psychology: 38 credits after freshman year, 8 per semester ( because I want to finish my Bachelors on schedule)
-Dance 66 credits, 9 per semester
-Theatre Minor 24 credits, 4 per semester
As you can see, my dance credits take up most of my time, not leaving room for my minor. I feel like I will be able to handle the academic course load side. Since there are very few academically intense dance courses, scheduling-wise, how feasible are the 9 dance credit hours? I really want to be able to do all of this, but I just need to know if I will be able to schedule it all and still be able to stay on top of everything and live a little.
