Hi all, I got a 2300 on this past November SAT. It was my first sitting.
My dream for college right now is currently the infamous EECS program at Berkeley, which is known to be highly competitive. Assuming that I get 780+ on my subject tests for Math II and Physics and have mediocre/acceptable extracurriculars, would my SAT Reasoning be ok at a 2300? Would retaking for a higher score look too stats-focused for the adcom?

At 2300, your SAT score will not be the reason you do or don’t get in. Relax on the test scores. There’s no reason to retake that. Focus on the rest of your application instead of an already great SAT score. Improving a score over 2300 is not going to make up for deficits in others areas. Focus on what you can control and will help you at this point. Get your personal statement nailed down and secure solid recs.
