Chances to Wharton (UPenn), Princeton, Stanford, Wesleyan, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Duke, NorthWestern, Virginia, UMich, U of Texas, Berkeley, UCLA, NYU (STERN), Johns Hopkins, and Middlebury

Though this should be in the “What are My Chances?” forum, you/he seems like a very competitive applicant. The weaker first two years could be explained by family responsibility, and being a URM strongly helps the case. The online business extra-curricular is really cool, and I wish I had something like that (Wharton hopeful as well). I have been cautioned against using my previous investments as “extracurriculars”, because it generally is taken the wrong way as if it’s your parent’s money, but in your case, I would assume that would not be a concern.

You should have a decent chance comparatively at most of the schools you apply too. I would say low reach Wharton, slightly higher at PS (just because they’re such crapshoots), safety at UT, UMich, and UVA. Almost Safety at NYU. I’d bet you’d get into at least half of Middlebury, UC’s, Wes., Northwestern, CMU, Cornell, and Duke. Probably at least 1 out of Columbia, Wharton, Dartmouth. Stanford and Princeton… I think you’ll get into one, but still a reach for everyone (+your UW GPA will be maybe 3.7ish at college time?)

I’m sure you’ll get into a lot of colleges. Good luck!

I’m a highly qualified URM student and I got accepted everywhere except Harvard, where I was waitlisted. I applied to Stanford, Penn (Wharton), Columbia, etc.

I’m just telling you this to give you my own experience (with being an URM haha…)

Wait, I actually took the time to read the whole post now.

You make $100 a day from an online hedge fund you run as a high schooler? $3000 a month? $36,500 a year? You say you got a 2300 but your username says you are 2300hopeful. You use e-trade…yet you’re under 18 y/o…

Impressive…eye roll

This smells like complete BS. Thanks Spiffy, for encouraging me to actually read the entire OP.

Huhh? It is illegal to manage client money under the age of 18, and even then I highly doubt you could convince people to give you money with 0 experience.

I just realized I wrote a 3 paragraph response to a ■■■■■.
