So, I assumed that my school would send all my colleges my 2nd SAT scores which are much better. The thing is, I just looked at the myIthaca site and they received my scores on Oct. 1, which is a few weeks before I took a 2nd stab at the SAT. All the other colleges don't say when they received my SAT scores, but I'm a bit scared that they all received my low 1st attempt SAT scores. I sent all my top colleges a rush report of my new SATs through collegeboard.com today but I don't know if it will make a difference if they've already started reviewing my app. Any advice?
Do most schools send out 2nd SAT scores on their own or should I have done that myself at an earlier date? Should I call the colleges and ask them or is it just a lost cause? I plan on asking my school tomorrow if they sent my 2nd SAT scores, but let's presume they didn't: anything I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Most schools don't send out SAT scores at all. They may be on the transcript, but they'd only send out the transcript once. And most colleges require an official report from College Board.

It can't hurt to call the schools and find out what you can do to fix the situation.

i thought all schools need an official score report from collegeboard. Call up those schools and send those reports rush order if the schools dont have them!

When you took the SAT a 2nd time, didn't you put the colleges you wanted the scores sent to? The scores (for both SATs) were sent to whoever you specified when you took the test (and should be on your printed SAT results page). Otherwise, it's up to you to request that College Board send them.

"but I don't know if it will make a difference if they've already started reviewing my app"

This is really a matter of timing. If you your application is considered complete (and if the colleges were not expecting another set scores it might well be 'complete'), it may or may not be under review. Depends on where it is in the stack.

What I would suggest would be to call the admissions office, inform them that a new set of scores is on its way - and is there anyway they would be considered. This might not help, but it won't hurt. Best of luck!
