2nd degree seeking student looking to get into UT - Cockrell Mechanical or BioMedical

Hi All,
After 8 years in business, I’ve decided to leave the workplace and return to school to change careers into engineering. I am taking classes right now at ACC (currently 4.0 GPA) and am hoping to apply to UT next March.

I am wondering if anyone has any experience getting into Cockrell as a 2nd degree student (i.e. after they’ve already completed a bachelors), and if so what was critical on the application. My first undergrad was a 2.8GPA (slacked a bit) but I also have an MBA at 3.8, and as mentioned, a 4.0 so far in all the basic engineering classes.

Plan B is UT-Dallas, but would really like to get into UT. Any thoughts on getting in? Also, any advice on what could I could do now to improve my chances?

Thanks!
Mike

Just wondering if anyone has any guidance here? I know its a bit unique…

Bump, still looking for guidance on this if anyone has any. Thanks so much!
