3.7 GPA enough to be considered by top LACs?

hi there everyone, i'm just wondering, is a 3.7 GPA (on a scale of 4.3, though ppl rarely get past 4) from a good community college enough to get into a top LAC like Amherst, Wellesley, Smith etc.? thanks for any input on this issue.

gpa is just one part of a great application. Of course 3.7 is good enough but only if your ec's, test scores, and recommendations are great as well.

I do not think so on a 4.3 scale though of course apply where you want.

thanks. any other opinion?

It's not spectacular, but solid enough. Try to balance it with good recs and essays. How are your SATs?

thanks. SAT1: 2150, SAT2: 750, 720, 800

ANyone else?
