3.8-3.9 gpa weighted, 31-ish act...i'm scared

Hi, i’m a rising junior and currently freaking out. I have around a 3.7-3.8 gpa weighted, should be almost 3.9 (not sure of unweighted) I’m doing test prep for both SAT/ACT, and my practice scores for act are in the 26-31 range (trying to get to a 32 by the real test) My psat 10 was good, so i’m trying to get national merit. i’ve also gotten academic achievment scholarships for summer programs ffrom penn state, rutgers scholars, oxbridge (oxford/cambridge), and drexel. i have my high school’s community service award. I’m in a state women’s choir, have done taekwondo for over 10 years (i have a black belt) and i have been teaching special needs kids since freshman year. model un, key club, feminist club, president of my own club called days for girls. not sure of class rank, but i go to one of the most competitive schools in the country.
overall the reason for this is…i come from a really competitive public high school in nj where it seems everyone has like 4.5’s and 4.3’s and whatever…i don’t want to go to any ivies (though i might apply to cornell), but how good am I for, like, top 50 schools? nyu? penn state? braindeis? bu? how about honors colleges (at mid-level colleges)
thanks everyone! sorry…i’m super worried :frowning:

Update: I’m also part of the international thespian honors society, and I have been at a gifted and talented academy called HEROES for a few years

Don’t worry too much! A lot can change in the next year and a half so you have nothing to worry about. My biggest weakness was comparing myself to my peers - everyone is different. Focus on what makes you happy and just try to keep your grades up. Take the ACT with confidence and without an expectation of a score (or else you’ll disappoint yourself). You’re already on track to get into a top school, so stop stressing yourself out. Good luck!

bump

Don’t be scared, you will have plenty of options.

To put your mind at ease, my friend got into Rutgers New Brunswick this year for engineering. His gpa was a 3.8 weighted, his SAT was 2130, hell he even got into honors college WITH A 10K SCHOLARSHIP. He is not in financial trouble, and he is a fine student. Truth is, colleges accept a lot more people than you think. I think you have a got shot for NYU cas, Penn state, and a bunch of other top universities.

Also, don’t worry about 4.3+ applicants, cuz I know one guy in my school that also got into Rutgers engineering and SAS with 3.5 weighted gpa, and 1810 sat, and I have a 4.8 gpa perfect sat valedictorian going to Rutgers. Half the seniors that just graduated in my school got into Rutgers! A lot of them had 1k+ scholarships
