<p>Hi. I'm going to be starting at Vtech this fall. I was looking at the Housing/Dining Contract on hokie spa and under "Room Occupancy Preference" it lists single, two person, and three person options. Are the three person options available to everyone? Or do you have to sign up for a particular program to be considered for a three person dorm?</p>
<p>I wasn’t even aware there were 3-person dorms at all?? Which dorms are they?</p>
<p>There are some 3-person rooms in Pritchard and presumably in OShag/Lee? The only advantage to a 3-person room is when there are only 2 people assigned.</p>
<p>I was assigned a triple in W. Egg. (by sheer luck/happenstance) In may case, there was a third person assigned at the beginning of the year. A couple weeks in, a space opened up in another room, and the third person was moved. I had some friends elect to be in a triple Soph year as a way to save some money, as the per person rate was less than the double.</p>
