@Otemachi : I am actually glad to see that y’all produced folks who SHOULD get the Goldwater. Emory (my alma mater), except for the past 2 or so years (except this year obviously) would actually have too many pre-medical students win it (literally like 1/2 of them were pre-med, and in 1 year, all 3 were pre-med), which I think is inappropriate. I hope GW has changed its tune some because it is supposed to be for those who want to continue in science. I wonder who the others got to win.
Unfortunately (to me at least), WUSTL had 2 pre-healths (I guess MDPhD counts as most end up in research, but still…) and 1 Duke person wasn’t. But most places seemed to have success with physical sciences and engineers (and math) which I think is a good thing.
