Just apply to all the good schools. Apply to Upenn and dartmouth and duke and whereever else. If you have enough time, and the extra money to apply, the worst thing that can happen is they say no. Best case… your at wharton with basically a guarenteed job.

^Heh. You took his advice.
ED Wharton, huh. :)

Did a poster on this thread really compare ND/BC with Minnesota/Wisconsin? Lol. They are good schools if you can’t afford the more elite private schools.

I think OP should apply to Michigan if he’s already considering Minnesota, Wisconsin, NU, etc. Ross is darn good.

Ross is also darn expensive for OSS, and with 4 siblings 180k price tags do not look favorable.

Ummm, while I think Wharton provides a great education it certainly does not equate into a job.
I’ve seen many other schools do better in job placement. From my limited knowledge, Wharton does minimal for alum as well. If the student is strong at networking, Wharton is good. Just don’t kid yourself that companies are actively recruiting Wharton grads by leaps and bounds.

If you’re thinking about Carlton you might look at a few other slightly less selective LACs that might offer assistance for someone with a 35 on the ACT. Kenyon, Hamilton, Colby, Trinity, for example.
