I have a 36 ACT (36E,M,R, 35S, 10E) and a 2330 SAT (730 CR, 800 M, 800 W, 12E). I've been told to send both but I've also been told that I should only send my 36 ACT since my 730 CR is a bit low for top schools (HYP). I live in the Northeast though and I hear that the SAT is generally more respected in admissions than the ACT.
Should I send both or just the 36 ACT?
By the way, this is a completely serious question. Just want to know your opinions!
Thanks a lot!! :)

1) you’ve been given shoddy advice (not to send in SATs – they are all excellent. A 730CR isn’t going to make anyone even blink)

2) you’re mistaken (myth about SAT > ACT). Colleges know how to interpret them all.

3) send both. Congrats. Whatever schools reject you, it won’t be because of test scores. Now hone your essays and stop worrying about your tests. Seriously.

Send both.

Send both!!! Congrats!!!

Colleges will only consider what they think is more prestigious among the two, so send both! Like if I get a 1600 on the SAT but a 36 on the ACT, they will disregard the SAT score in deciding whether I should get in.

Thanks so much for the advice everyone!!! :)
