But can i see the score before i send it?>

Yes. For $8, you can see your MC scores online 10 days after the test (unless they're delayed).

Johnboy, Maybe you should consider the fact that only 213 in one year recieved 36's. Even for collegeconfidential that is a stretch for most people, considering there are 1000's that look at this site.

...and the ACT is taken more than the SAT, so that 213 is v. v. low.

im only a junior...will i know all the math for the ACT?

Well then, you have my humble apologies for apparent arrogance. I hadn't realized my score was good compared to many at this site. I guess in the future I'll just refrain from posting any scores, eh?

"Well then, you have my humble apologies for apparent arrogance. I hadn't realized my score was good compared to many at this site."

^ = "I'm sorry guys, I just wanted to brag about my 35 and I didn't know I was going to get called out on it."

eh?

i want a 35
i got a 35 on the science section when i took one of the practice tests in the Real ACT Prep Guide

I'd like a 34... that would be splendid. =P Or a 33...I'd be fairly content with that.

Good luck with the 36 quest, though!

Results from the Official ACT 2006-2007 Practice Test:
E: 31
M: 31
R: 23*
S: 23*
Composite: 27

Without noise:
E: 31
M: 31
R: 30
S: 34
Composite = 31.5 or 32 <-Still needs a major improvement

Reflections:
E and M were okay, but still need a major improvement.

I found that I have enough time to do the S test, but maybe I am mistaken.

*These scores were due to my noisy environment. With noise, how can one concentrate?

For M, I have found that I spend too much time on the hard word problems. I am just going to do all of the word problems last.

The thing I have against the ACT is that there is too much reading involved. If one stinks at reading, then one can not perform well on the ACT.

Conclusion: I have found that the ACT is for me, and I now going to forego all SAT practice. ;)

you guys that say your practice scores are lower than your real scores:

after finishing your real test, did you feel like you had done better? Because on my practice tests I actaully finished all the sections. Today in math and sci, i didnt. does that mean i still have hope for improving my practice test scores?
does anyone think the curves on the real test are more generous than the ones they publish in the book?

forgo.

The tests published in the Real ACT book are actual tests, and the curves are the actual curves used to score the tests. So they are exactly the same.

Seriously?
Some people have said that the actual tests were easier than the practice tests from the book.

Please post tips to help me achieve my goal in December. ;)

Thats one reason why the ACT/SAT is kind of faulty. People study over 100 hours for these things? God.

The ACT seems to be getting harder. I don't think the actual ACT released tests are representative anymore.

How so ?

Like the October test was a million times harder then the June test for example.

I agree. I took it in April twice, than again in October, and it definitely got harder. I ended up doing much worse on my real tests than on the practice tests. We will see how the October results turn out fingers crossed
