<p>We reported the 529 in grandma’s name on the Profile, but that was the last time we had to say anything about it. Since we are not using it, we didn’t report it as any kind of asset. FAFSA doesn’t ask about it, they only want to know if the student received any money from others. Since D did not receive anything from the 529 (yet) we didn’t have to say anything, and FA was not reduced, we don’t think. No real way to know, but I doubt it. As I said above, we are going to use it senior year to pay the whole bill. Maybe there will be money left for grad school… If grad school is not in the equation, there are other, younger, grandchildren, and the 529 can then be transferred to someone else.</p>
