My son will be starting his Junior Year of High School and his Freshman yr of college under dual enrollment. Does anyone know the rules as to whether or not we can make a withdrawal from our 529 plan this year? I assume we can since he is actually attending college but want to be sure. Thanks

I would think that you would not be able to withdraw funds because as a dual enrollment student, your son would not be a degree seeking student

Not a requirement for 529.

I don’t know if this applies to your situation, but Coverdell ESA funds can be used for private high school tuition. The ESA is different from 529, which does not allow withdrawals for secondary education.
