6-Year Law Program VS Chemical Engineering

Hey Everyone!

I was wondering if you had any input on what I should do. The law program is with a good, but not great, law school. It's known and I would most likely be able to get a job after college. I know some people who went there and they are leading good lives and they said it was a good school. I would be going to a nationally-known undergrad then to the law school it's affiliated with, which isn't as well-known. I got into the honors program for undergrad.

The engineering school isn't really known outside of the state I live in and maybe a couple of the surrounding ones also. It's a great program, and I got into the Honors college where the people there really help people move on to get higher degrees (law, medicine, grad school, etc). Again, I know people who have went to this school and they rave about it.

Tuition is pretty much the same. The law school one is about two hours away from my house when driving and the engineering one is like an hour. I'd probably be taking the train which is faster than the car. So transportation is really the same, and I'm not super worried about it. My family doesn't really care where I go. Also, both have about the same minimum requirements to stay in either program. The only inhibition I have with going with the law school is that I don't want to limit myself to a law school that isn't the best I can get into. I'd be really happy being a lawyer or an engineer, so that's not an issue either. The good thing about the engineering option is that I would have the opportunity to keep all of my options open. I can do whatever I want after my undergrad years.

So, any help would e appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)
