609's Saturday Night Thread

Where did you learn lacrosse from? Just about everyone I know is playing lacrosse, and I’m like what the hell, where did you learn this sport from- I’ve never heard about it until 2 years ago lol :p.

I see soccer and football and tennis and baseball camps and coaches all the time, but lacrosse? That just came out of left field :p.

Me neither. HA. I legit joined the team freshman year, learned how to play like 1 week into the season, got amazingly good, became captain, and spent like $200 on equipment in the process. I also played sophomore year and started on JV. However, I did not join this year because I am too small (asian genes, ugh) to compete on the Varsity level.

Ha - I tried out my freshman year but I decided not to join the team. I could have probably been a successful player had I stuck it out. In fact, I could have been good at any sport, but I’m Asian, so I pretty much spent my childhood at home - studying. Sucks :(.

Did anyone do anything last night? For me, I stayed home and worked on homework and my dad and little sister went to the “daddy daughter dance” which I feel like would be really awkward. They didn’t have them when I was younger, but I can’t imagine how awkward it would be especially between my dad and me.

I ate a Culver’s sandwich and cried myself to sleep. Thug life, bro.

(I’m being the opposite of serious right now. Or I’m just saying that because I really did cry myself to sleep. You pick)

Last night I did exactly what I’m doing this night. And the night before. And the night 3 days after. And every night.

Never heard of this before. BRB looking it up…

still not getting what it is…care to 'splain?

Daddy daughter dance, hah, how cute.

I went to a high school bball game, we won by 3 points, it was sick! Then I went out to McDonalds for a post game snack. I hate McDonalds… but I love it.

Culver’s is a predominantly midwestern fastfood joint. [Culver’s - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Culver's - Wikipedia)

Culver’s > McDonalds. Anyday.

I can’t stand fast food anymore.

I watched Super Size Me, didn’t eat fast food for 1 whole year.

Just recently while on the way back from a pokemon competition, we had nothing to eat, so we stopped by at Burger King. I got the swiss mushroom burger thing and I took 3 bites and spit that s___ out so fast. It was NASTY.

Ahh, no wonder I have never heard of it. EASt CoasT Life Baby. We have White Castle and Sonic lol.

I don’t eat it often. I have a really fast metabolism and I work out, so I’m not getting fat or anything.

We have White Castle too. Funnily enough, almost all fast-food restaurants originated in the midwest, McDonalds specifically came from my state. And some people wonder why we’re stereotyped to be a fat demographic.

Haha wait, you went to a pokemon competition?

Pokemon is awesome, don’t hate.

Yeah. My friend plays competitively and he let me borrow a DS and his team to join the competition. It was pokemon Black version I think. I did TERRIBLY, but he made it past preliminaries and lost in the quarter finals. Heh.

Lol. I didn’t know those things actually existed.

I totally traded pokemon cards when I was younger. I swear I was a boy. I had a pokemon backpack and everything.

I still have my special edition Pokemon Nintendo 64. I was the talk of the town back in the day due to that thing. The reset button was Pikachu’s foot, and the on/off switch was a pokeball. Such a flawless design, it puts one in awe.

Who said pokemanz was for boys only? If I recall correctly, Misty wasn’t a bad trainer. Haha.

But were you a tomboy? Or only because of the pokemon aspect.
How do you dress now? What are you wearing right now?

I usually wear sweatpants to school with a V neck and my North Face because it’s the most comfortable. But when I’m trying to look presentable I’ll go with A Nice shirt, khakis, and a fresh pair of Sperries.

Right now I’m in yellow and black pajamas. Heh.

I still have my Pokemon cards. Saturday mornings when I would just go downstairs at like 7:30, turn on Sportscenter, grab a bowl of sugary cereal, and play Pokemon till like 12:00 were the best. I wish I was 8 again.
