609's Saturday Night Thread

My favourite sugary cereal was lucky charms. I would eat all the grain bits and then put all the marshmallows in my mouth at the same time. Sugary goodness. Now I only eat chocolate Special K for breakfast, with a banana. Gotta get dat potassium 8)

I’ve recently reaffirmed my love for sugary cereals through my discovery of a Churro cereal I found at the supermarket a few days ago. Like, holy ****. Churros in cereal form! Can’t make that stuff up.

WAT, CHURRO CEREAL. Brb looking it up.

oh my, why haven’t I had this before.

What am I wearing now?

A strapless red dress with boots. Hah, no I’m not a tomboy anymore. I was sort of a tomboy when I was younger. Most of my friends were guys so I got into guy stuff. I still wore obnoxious bows in my hair though.

Anay and his churro cereal, haha.

Anay, are you Indian by anay chance?

See wat i did thar.

LOL. All the parents are watching the Knicks game and every time Jeremy Lin even touches the basketball they go crazy.

@helloel we joined cc at the same time :)

Elizabeth, you must try some. I saw a God through my atheistic ways after eating that cereal. 'Twas life-changing.

(obligatory sarcasm tag)

609: Why, yes I am! What gave it away?

I’m watching that. Really good game, Knicks just pulled it off by 2. Lin didn’t do too well though.

The Chicago Bulls are winning the championship this year, and you all know that.

Hahah, where will I find churros cereal?

Nice observaiton 609represent. I feel like I’ve been a member for longer though, since I lurked on here for about 6 months before joining.

And i’m guessing helloel is Elizabeth. Hi.

The town I live in is 45% Indian, so I know a lot about Indian culture, food, dancing, etc. I might even be taking a brown chick to prom, ya never kno.

What supermarkets are found in good ol’ Kentucky? Supermarket chains in IL aren’t usually found anywhere else, so I wouldn’t be too sure on where you would find it. I think if you have an Albertson’s or Safeway nearby, you’re bound to find it.

609: I saw that you lived in Jersey. In a nutshell: Cubans to Miami = Indians to Jersey.

Never heard of either of those places. And to answer your question, nothing is found in good ol’ Kentucky. Nothing.

Haha but really, we have a quite of few different types of groceries. But I doubt any of them have churros cereal.

I’m trying to get my mom to play Mario Kart with me.

Really? I only named Albertson’s and Safeway because they’re basically the biggest supermarket chains in the country. We don’t even have those in Illinois. Jewel-Osco? Food City (I looked that one up on Wikipedia specifically because it’s located in Kentucky)?

Edit: Do you have Meijer? I found the cereal there, and I just checked Wikipedia and it said they have locations in Kentucky.

On the Wii? I own it for Nintendo DS.

Haha no, haven’t heard of those either. Where I know I can go buy food: Kroger’s & Whole Foods. And maybe a Fresh Market or something, and some really small fruit markets, I don’t know, Walmart?

Yes, there are Meijers where I live.

Kroger’s is bound to have it. I mainly shop at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods (how un-Midwestern of me) due to the wide range of organic foods and foreign treats. Those two stores are fantastic.

Edit: Also, Whole Foods’ gelato is ballin’

Haha I’ve never been in a Meijer, I will def check it out for that churro cereal. And we just got a Trader Joe’s and people are literally obsessed about it. You couldn’t even walk into store there were so many people there the first week it opened. But really it doesn’t match Whole Foods. There is barely anything in the Trader Joes where I live. I walked in, bought sunbutter and milk, left, and never went back.

The opening day around where I live, the line extended out of the store.

What is everyone doing now? It’s been One hour and 20 Minutes Since the creation of this thread. There’s still a party downstairs. I’m bored and in my room alone, chatting with some online friends. And one real life friend. Heh.

It’s way different here. Trader Joe’s has been here for ages and they stock practically everything the local Whole Foods does. Whole Foods has a ridiculous markup on its items (I like to call it the Pretentious Tax), so Trader Joe’s is more popular among the utilitarian health nut.
