@ViggyRam
For your question:
"No one is (more happier than us) that the presidential election is almost here.
^why is the answer to that one “happier than we” and not “happier than us”
The answer is “we” because “we” is a subjective pronoun, while “us” is an objective pronoun. What that means is that “we” is used when “we” is performing the verb action. However, “us” is used when an act is being performed to/upon “us”. Hope that made sense a bit lol and sorry for the late reply.
Almost anything with the word “being” in it is “improper”. However, if it’s right, it’ll be very obvious; like if there is a different mistake somewhere else and you’re sure, then that’s probably the error instead of the one with " being."
Active voice is considered more correct than passive voice.
Leads in from the previous point. Active voice is usually shorter anyway. This means that shorter answers are more correct than longer answers (for the most part) if you have to guess.
Your goal is to get it done fast. If you find the answer and are 100% sure, don’t stick around the finish reading the rest of the unnecessary fluff. You’re not there to read the short stories that accompany the questions for the improving sentences part.
However, I highly suggest reading through the sentence correction ones. (The ones that have no error as an option.)
The short passage one is like cancer. Its basically critical reading with grammar, but the person writing it has made many grammatical mistakes and it usually gets in the way of understanding the passage. The questions go pretty much in order; the first questions are for the first part of the essay, second for the second part, etc. Use that to your advantage. If it says something like “what is the best transition”, or " where would this best be placed", etc., use the sentence before and after as a reference. The sentence they are asking you to place in the essay should relate o the sentence prior to it, as well as the one after it.
Idk if you understood any of this, but this is one of my stronger sections and definitely my most consistent section. Never got below 700 in the past 2 years on the real one, as well as practice tests. Feel free to message me if you have more questions.
