<p>In all technicality, premed counts only as far as your GPA and MCAT go; It really doesn't matter where you attend. Med school, then, would determine where you would do residency, and grades at med school are lax: as long as you don't fail out you're golden.</p>
<p>i agree with liehcas...for example, i live in nj, so the majority of people here go to rutgers, not a bad school by any means but certainly not "a great private undergrad college" like northwestern or duke, and you hear all the time about premeds from there gettin' into yale and harvard med school....so yeah, as long as the gpa is up and you do well on yer mcats, you'll be fine</p>
