<p>Can i upload different essays under Common app for different schools WITHOUT having to create an alternate account? </p>
<p>For example, can I upload essay #1 for Cornell, send it with everything, </p>

<p>go to UPenn and upload a different essay and send it like that???</p>
<p>I've heard of replicating your account but it sounds like that is only for editing the information for the same school. Can anyone help?</p>
<p>if you want to upload another essay for the common app, not the supplement, for different schools you will need to create another account, you will then be able to upload a different essay. this is the only. you will see when you submit the first time, everything will be grayed out and nothing can be changed.</p>

<p>How to create alternate versions of the Common App, directly from the CA tech people:</p>
<p>Step 1: You must submit the Common Application to at least one
institution. When this is complete, you must logout of your account.</p>

where you will see information about the application that you've already
submitted. You may then click on the 'Replicate' link to make an alternate
version of your submitted application. When this is complete, a second
version will be visible on this screen and a special drop down will appear
in the upper right corner of the application to allow quick access to all
your applications.</p>
<p>It's easy just follow instructions as above. You must submit to one school first though before the alternate versions can be created. My D created 6 version in about 30secs....a different essay here, a different slant to ECs there...Actually it was kindof fun.</p>
