^ __^ What to do now? I need to pay dollars to apply for Financial Aid!!!!!

Most of the colleges I am planning to apply to, ask to file College-Board's FA profile as financial aid application.

It costs like $16 for each college and the amount is impossible for me to pay after getting my blood sucked by College-board, for tests fee and then score-sending fee etc. ( especially because I registered for both SAT I and IIs twice)

I have read somewhere that I could mail to specific colleges and tell them my condition. They often are generous enough to settle for ISFAA or any other cheap ( I mean free) FA application.

Is it true? What should I do now?

Thank you.

Well, have you emailed colleges and inquired about using the ISFAA?

Not yet… because I am still confused if that is the best thing to do. Or there is a better option…

It’s about the only thing you can do.

really?? I better be mailing them by now then… Thank you… b@r!um

so did you find any other way then CSS @specific? Cos if you did, plz do mention.

You can just email the colleges you’re applying to. I’m applying to around 10 colleges and I’ll probably only need to send CSS PROFILE to two colleges. The rest told me to submit ISFAA or the printed copy of CSS PROFILE or other alternative forms. Sometimes they also grant you fee payment code.

^ By email you mean the admission offices or the FA Office of the colleges?

I first sent the email to the Financial Aid Office. They will usually provide you with the alternative forms, although sometimes they’ll refer you to the Admissions Office.

Oh okay, thank you, I better start with mailing the FA Offices by now. :)
