Just having some fun, given some of the recent posts in other threads.

Apologies, FC, but I think referring to her as a “celebrity” is a bit generous.

Just quoting the article (up in the title). Actually, I kind of thought the same thing, although I can’t argue with the fact that she seems to have found success in the theater at a young age.

I see she is a comic actor. I could use a good laugh right now. DS’s car was just stolen :(OK-- see there are definitely things I DON’T like about the area! Grrr…)

Damn, that is terrible. I guess I forgot he was still in NOLA. Where did it take place?

Next to his house!!! He still lives near campus.

I’ve always wanted to go to school with someone who’s somewhat of a celebrity, so this is kind of exciting. Too bad 95% of our class has most likely never even heard of ‘Oklahoma!’
I had to google it…

jym- sorry about the car. Hopefully they find it soon (and undamaged!)

Thinking about the thread topic, the grandson of Bob Marley (the famous reggae artist for those too young to know) Nicolas (Nico) Marley is going to play football at Tulane. Obviously not a celeb either, but a fun fact. Actually, his dad played at U Miami and then in the CFL, so not too surprising that Nico is a football player.

Thanks, jph. This time I actually HOPED it has been towed!! No such luck.

where exactly does it say that she picked Tulane over Brown Yale or Princeton? justwundering!

I could be wrong, but I believe fc is pulling your leg, justwundering.

Good Lord, I guess I have to spell everything out. Quite often teenage stars pick Brown (Emma Watson), Princeton (Brooke Shields), Yale (Jodie Foster), and other Ivy or top-ranked schools. I am sure there are dozens if not hundreds of examples. The humor, such as it is, certainly is lost if that has to be explained.

Besides, this was meant with tongue firmly planted in my cheek, since you and Marsden seem so convinced I am always trying to make Tulane sound like these schools.

Good catch, justwundering. Had me fooled too. Turns out it wasn’t a celeb in the first place, and didn’t get into Brown, Yale OR Princeton. Clever ruse I suppose.

Thank you for saying I am clever, but it wasn’t a ruse. Odd thing to say 6 hours after I wrote post #12.

Oh jym626, sorry to hear about your son’s stolen car. He must be bummed out. Hope the insurance will take care of it.

Not trying to rub it in but on a side note, DS does not even need a car in Chicago. He told me that his mean of commute is to take water taxi to and from work (quicker, nicer and cheaper than bus and the “L”). I guess this will all end when the winter hits, unfortunately…

They found the car and its ok! And faster than the steercar :)
