<p>@belle_10: Oh, you know what would be even worse? Being waitlisted, then not coming off of the waitlist. (Working in admissions would a great job for a sadist, seriously.) ;)</p>
<p>Well I read this article from Harvard Crimson and basically rah year Harvard has a ‘z list’ where they put legacy kids at the top of their waitlist and offer some of ten admission if they agree to take a gap year. That means that rah year around 33 places have already been taken at Harvard! pretty are Yale has a similar system. So if I’m waitlisted, I’m not gonna keep my hopes up :(</p>

<p>Since most of the Ivies are 5:00 tomorrow I figured that might go for Yale too, but I wouldn’t put it past them to be mean and just say “evening” and leave it at that…</p>

<p>Unless Yale has changed its policy, that won’t happen. Deferred SCEA applicants get a straight up or down vote in the RD round. No waitlisting.</p>
