A couple of questions

Hey guys, incoming college sophomore here with a couple of questions regarding law school.

In all honesty I have no specific career path in mind right now but I have a vague leaning towards a career possibly involving work abroad. One of my friends mentioned work as a Foreign Service Officer. As of now I have a strong inclination towards work in East Asia, specifically China, and from what I have heard possessing a law degree “opens up doors” in terms of employment opportunities and that I wouldn’t necessarily have to be a lawyer to utilize and exploit a law degree. I apologize for the vagueness of the question, but would anyone happen to be able to give advice as to how I could figure out what I want to do ?

When would be a good time to start preparing for the LSAT? Would it be of any benefit to buy some logic-based prep books I have seen mentioned in this forum and just skim around and get a feel for it? (Currently a sophomore).

How important and valued is work-experience in Law School admissions? From a pragmatic perspective, how should my summers be spent?

Thanks in advance.

2.) About four to six weeks before you plan on taking the exam. No need to worry about it yet.

3.) Summer work is not valued hardly at all. Full-time work experience for a couple years after college can matter some, especially at particular law schools.
