CAN WE SAY SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE SENIORS?!
Wow did this all fly by, I can literally remember the first step I took on high school grounds. I can’t believe that it’s all almost over. I some times look around my classrooms, and just realize that at the end of the year, we’re all be going to some place different.
The best advice that I can give, is that don’t stress about what colleges you get into or don’t get into. You’ll go to the college that you’re meant to be at.
SENIOR YEAR AHHHH CRAZY!!

AND ANYONE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME! ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOME NEW FUN PEOPLE TO TALK TO! :-)

Oh, all the senior spirit that went down today during their skit xD We were the only class they didn’t bash… much. They portrayed the freshman as a really nerdy kid who wants an A+ on everything and stuff; the sophomore as a self-interested girl who loves selfies and who’s always on her phone (both the juniors and the seniors portrayed us as that; they based it off of a certain girl in our grade who they don’t like); and the junior as a really dumb magician (the juniors’ theme was Now You See Me Juniors; and of course junior and senior class rivalries).

I got a 95% on my math midterm (and it raised my grade like, seven percent)! My only B this quarter is… An 89% in Chem.

Life sucks.

@topaz1116 you guys have skits for each class? That’s cool lol

Today for Halloween, my school themed the entire campus after Hogwarts. There was music playing throughout the day, all the teachers were different professors, all the classes were changed to “Herbology” and “Transfiguration” and “Potions” and “Defense against the dark arts” and they taught Harry Potter-themed subjects all day.

IT WAS AMAZING. It was a surprise, they hadn’t told us about it, though. Oh and there were candles and chandeliers hanging on the ceilings. They also had the “whomping willow” tree around the school. They somehow got the flying car in the middle of our courtyard and our administration were death eaters (which is funny). They had the “Ravenclaw”, “Gryffindor”, “Hufflepuff”, and “Slytherin” banners hanging from the wall lol and 9 3/4 platform.

Our school has never done something cool like that before, it was definitely because of our new principal

@SallyStephens LUCKY! That sounds amazing, I’m so jealous it’s a bit…riddikulus.

At our school football game last night, it was cold, rainy, and windy. The band from the other school didn’t even show up, and we ended up cramming back on the bus after halftime. It was fun, though. :)

HAHA I love the Harry Potter pun!

our schools football game was last night too, we won and made districts ^.^ im not in marching band although I play the clarinet in our top band. I couldn’t do marching because of a surgery on my leg but… at the beginning of the year there were lots of rainy games !! @livelaugh7

whoops I meant to at @ThatPurpleKoala

sorry @livelaugh7

So much AP Calc AB homework…logarithm and natural logarithm derivatives…

SAME. @tacoperson123 I have a quiz on it monday

You guys are doing logarithms currently? Are you both doing AB?

@SallyStephens Injured clarinetists of the world UNITE! I’m finding out Tuesday if my ankle’s sprained or actually broken (the X-rays point to not broken but with my foot still being swollen and just now bruising, I’d be only a tiny bit surprised if a break was just missed the first time around).

And good luck on the AP Calc quiz- I’m not taking AP Calc until next year, and that’s assuming I don’t end up in stats instead.

@Teyrkis, yes we are.

@Teyrkis yes! and yes

@ThatPurpleKoala

Ahh I hope your ankle turns out fine

and thank you! and oh cool idk how I feel about stat I might have to take AP stat senior when I run out of Math to take

@SallyStephens I’m currently taking AP Stats and self studying Calc AB and BC. Stats is super easy.

@Teyrkis how’s the self studying workin out for you?:)

@SallyStephens Pretty fun, just trying to get used to my sleep schedule nowadays haha. I cut my sleep time by four hours and use that for self study time along lunch and passing time. I should be done with calculus AB/BC by New Years.

@SallyStephens The Hogwarts thing is really cool! On one of our stress-free days earlier in the year, they used songs for the bells (each passing period started and ended the same, but there were different songs throughout the day, if you get what I mean), and one of the tunes they used was Hedwig’s Theme. When we got to my English class, my friends and I literally made the entire class shut up so we could listen to it xD

Our homecoming is as such: each class has a class day and color (freshmen are blue and on monday, sophomores yellow and on tuesday, etc.). The seniors also have a senior lounge set up in the main area where everybody eats (underclassmen and juniors do not simply enter the senior lounge), where they have music blasting and where they chant their class chant (always: Hoo-hah! Wish you were a senior!). Classes are shorter and lunch is an hour and five minutes. Each class puts up decorations in the front of the school surrounding our ampitheater; the older your class is, the better your decorations usually are (like, juniors and seniors put up streamers everywhere, decorate the benches, form tunnels on walkways…). Everyone wears their class colors the whole week. Each class has a theme based off of a movie (for example, this year, we had: Avengers Freshmen, Despicable Sophomores, Now You See Me Juniors, and Great Gatsby Seniors), and their decorations usually correlate to that. At lunch, each class puts up a skit that follows the plot of their movie, where the villains are the school that we’re competing against for our Homecoming game and they’ve stolen our “spirit” (in the form of spirit stones, spirit candy…). There are four main characters, one for each class. There are also airbands interspersed in that; the four standard airbands are Bollywood, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Boy’s Booty. Basically, each class gets scored based off of their decorations, behavior, spirit, skit, and airbands, and they get placed.

It’s probably the most spirit my school ever has.

THAT IS INCREDIBLY COOL! You think Hogwarts is cool??? Yours is pretty amazing.

@topaz1116 Like really really cool.

As I write this, my fingers are so cold. This is the coldest weather all year so far ahhhh it’s 49 degrees currently. FALL IS DEFINITELY HERE

@Teyrkis that’s awesome! I really love calculus
