A few questions about GS..

Hello,

I'm thinking about applying to GS, I would like to ask a few Q's if you won't mind..

1.I read at the GS web site that the average tuition is 32000$ a year, do they include the dorms cost in that or is it just the academic costs?

2.I'm a javelin thrower, Could I get any Grants/scholarships etc, If I will be in the school sport team?

3.A question for the International Student: could I attend a college while having a working visa?

thank you.

Q 1)
Tuition for a 30 credit program: $32,580
Tuition per credit: $1,086
Living (room and board) and personal expenses (books, local commuting costs, and miscellaneous expenses): $18,785

Q 2)
I don't know specifics on Ivy League schools but my impression is that they don't give scholarships to athletes.

Q 3)
Dunno

GS students are not allowed to live in Columbia undergraduate dorms anyway. So no, but you will get a shot at a subsidised apartment probably.

I believe there are athletic scholarships but javelin thrower? That seems a bit obscure.

From what I recall working in immigration law, you can only either have a student or a work visa, but your student visa allows you to have a work-study job.

thanks guys!
