Does anyone know how priority wait list works? Is it for students who were denied from ED, or is it for people from the regular decision pool? Also, does anyone know how many people typically are put on the priority wait list?
I don’t know much about the waitlist, but it is definitely open to people from the regular decision pool! I was offered a spot on the priority waitlist for Information Systems, applied RD. I also heard it’s only offered to those who apply to just one major. Not sure how many people are put on it though! ><
That’s not true because I applied to 2 majors
Hi I know this is a year later but do you or anyone else know the chances of getting accepted off the priority list? Or approximately how many people are actually on the priority waiting list?
I was on the priority waitlist last year @vpm3660 , sorry to tell you but last year they accepted exactly zero people from the list for all departments. I was on the priority waitlist for SCS and CIT.
Damn really? @Bored1997 was it an anomaly that no one was picked b/c somewhere I read that in 2014 they selected 60 kids off of the waitlist?
Yes it was 60, for 2014 that is why I had hopes when I was waitlisted. But, the 60 were from thousands they waitlisted more than 5000 people and more than 2000 accepted a place on the waitlist. Also the common data set says they admitted 4 people from the waitlist last year too even though they sent out an email to all waitlisted students that they would not admit anyone from the waitlist.
Wong numbers on my part it was 3000 waitlisted and 1600 accepted a place on it in 2014-15.
