"Objective" doesn't mean "accurate", you know. :D

Z,

It does when you're talking about WP parents. We're never biased, always accurate. It's so easy when your kids attend the best of the service academies. :D:D

(Don't anyone throw anything at me. I'm joking. Just don't tell Zaphod.)

They just need to take some time out to learn how to play a lil' football before the season starts. I do like what former GT Coach Bobby Ross has done but I don't see them beating Navy in the next four years...playing winning football yes, hopefully beating Air Force, but not Navy. Midshipmen and Cadets bet bathrobes on the game. I only won one Army one, they one won game, lost three but the other two years there weren't enough Cadets willing to bet.

In the 106 games played by Army and Navy, the longest winning streak by either school has been 5 games. If you count two ties and two years when they didn't play games, Army was unbeaten from 1923 through 1933. Navy had an unbeaten streak from 1978 until 1983 with one tie.

But statistics predict that, with Navy, having won four in a row, the Black Knights are due at least once in the next four years. Just hope its not when your Mid is a Plebe.

BEAT AIR FORCE!!!!!

Hey its no fair checking the records. Navy lost my senior year, almost pulled it out on the last play of the game (if I remember it correctly); however, I believe Navy looks fairly strong for the next four years but in the Army-Navy game, the underdog has certainly pulled the game out before. Navy's triple option offense certainly has looked awesome and getting better each year. Both teams need to beat Notre Dame so lets agree on that.

We could all be so happy if that would happen. :)

Beating Notre Dame is an absolute BLAST.

GO ARMY, BEAT the DOMERS!
GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!
GO ARMY, BEAT AIR FORCE!

Meanwhile, the C-in-C Trophy sits snuggly in the Bancroft Hall Rotunda. :D

for now ;)

...and exactly where it will stay for the next 4 years! :)

Oh my....

"The Game" is still 139 days : 23 hours : and 01 minutes away!!! And already the poor USMA parents are getting picked on!

Maybe we need to send them some care packages.....WHERE ARE all my "cc bakers" when I need them!!

I really, really want some of those pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

Luliztee, opening your post back up, 'cause I didn't get my 2 cents in. If your Son is looking for good EC's I'd recommend Civil Air Patrol. CAP is a civilian auxiliary of the Air Force and has an awesome Cadet program. My Daughter and Son are both in CAP and I help out as a Senior member. Our Squadron and state (Idaho) have sent someone to a Service Academy for at least the last four years. We have a great young cadet who just reported to West Point and my daughter is working hard to "Go Navy" next year.

CAP teaches Customs and Courtesies, Drill, Aerospace Education, Leadership and also puts the cadets in touch with lots of retired or active duty officers and enlisted. And they're not all just Air Force.

And really, really, really get at least one of William Smallwoods "Candidate" books.

And to help out Zaphod (who really doesn't need my help) a graduate of the Naval Academy can do anything in the service that a graduate of another Academy can do. Want to fly? Naval Aviators are the worlds best. Want to be in the Infantry of Armored? Can't beat the Marines. Want to drive Submarines or big ships? Naval Academy graduates are doing that all over the world.

I know I'm biased towards Annapolis, but Colorado Spring, West Point, Kings Point or Coast Guard are all great places and your son couldn't do better.

My favorite thing about my children trying for a Service Academy is that if they fall short they've been preparing themselves for life and getting into any other college in the country.

Welcome to the bumpy ride.

One more piece of advice. You and your son need to also check out http://serviceacademyforums.com/

A lot of the best people from here are over there as well.
