hey guys! this is my first post, but i've been lurking around for a little bit now. I have a few questions and would really benefit if anyone can help me with any of them. the first one is the one about my somewhat rare situation.

1) pretty much my entire life i've had bad concentration issues, and have been aware for quite some time now that i had an untreated case of ADHD. while growing up i had a lot of informal counseling and learned a lot of techniques to help me cope with it, so i was able to get by decently well in school until aroud high-school. my condition got worse in high school, and was probably the reason i had to go to CC in the first place. by the time i got to college it was decidedly BAD and it reached its worse point during my first spring semester where i got a D in calculus and a C in macro-econ which lowered my GPA from an okay 3.6 to just a little bit above 3.0. since it was really bad, my counselor (clinical, not CC) suggested i get tested and start actually receiving medical treatment for it. i did, and, naturally, was diagnosed (with flying colors, for that matter) with ADHD. since then, i've started medical treatment and i have been doing WAY better in school (i think i have a good shot at a 4.0 for this semester's grades). Here's where i'm worried: i'd really like to include this in the "additional comments" secion of the personal statement because it would explain my really scattered grades (like getting two As along with a D and a C in spring semester), but i'm worried that it would make it look like an excuse, or worse yet, might put a stigma on my app. this one's really been bugging me. any advice?

2) I'm in a bit of an awkward position for applying, as well, becuase i have every intention of being a double major in two completely unrelated majors (business and psychology). if my prompt 1 essay does a decent job of showing that i really enjoy both of them, would it be okay to, per se, apply with business as main major and psych as alternate in one UC, and visa versa for another UC?

3) on the note of prompt 1: in my essay i'm writing for prompt 1, a large body of it is from experience i had in high school BUT it was the reason and kindof led the way to all of the later things i would do on a related manner (i.e. ECs, volunteer work, employment, etc.). I've been told that writing about anything from high school can be a big risk, do you think this kind of situation might make an exception for it?

4) what time does the UC app system usually crash this time of year?

thanks in advance for anyone who can help me!
