A few SAT 1 prep questions..

I'll go straight to the point.

I practice for the SAT by doing one section of a test, resting, then doing another. For people that have used the same method, are your scores during practice reflected on your official SAT test?

During the official SAT test, how do you guys keep your brain fresh when one section starts right after the next? Drink Water? Pinch yourself?

Please help!

I like to stretch a bit, forget about that section as much as I can, and drink a little water (emphasis on “a little”) or eat a small snack.

bump

@jor26029 What do you mean? Do you mean take it for a few hours straight like the real test? Or just the same conditions of the testing room/time etc.?

yes, take a complete practice test with no breaks but the 5 minutes allowed. I realized that i got tired and started doing careless mistakes in the last sections, which are the easier actually

I practiced solely for critical reading, so I would do all three sections at a time but skip all the math and writing. My practice test scores were I think 780 800 800 800 760 and I ended up with a 760 on the actual exam, if that helps you at all.

@talawyd thanks, i’ll try doing the whole thing haha
@wrywry‌ thanks, doing that now :)
