A freakishly long resume?

So I submitted my main application on Common App, and I just realized I botched my app by submitting a 5-page resume (which used to be 2 pages but..) I cut it down to 3 pages now (actually 2.5 pages) and I don't think I can shorten it more.

So would the 5-page resume completely ruin my chances? If so, is there anything I can do about it at this point? HELP!

The thicker the file…

Nothing to really do at this point. Though, how does one actually acquire a 5-page r

It depends on what you actually wrote on your resume. 5 pages…if you have done A LOT of stuff that warrants a total of 5 pages, then it’ll be fine.
If however, you’ve written lengthy explanations and it really could be better condensed to 1 or 2 pages, then it might certainly annoy the readers…
Anyway, as the previous post said, there’s nothing you can do now! I’m sure it won’t make or break your case, given they can simply not read it if they choose.

my host for my overnight stay at harvard said she attached a 6 page resume.

granted, she is brilliant and i have no doubt that all 6 pages had substantial information, but unless some of the things were just resume padding, i don’t think you should worry-- well, at least i hope it won’t hurt us-- i submitted a 2.5 page resume as well haha.

Are you familiar with the phenomenon ‘sleep’?

It’s not going to ruin your chances. However, I doubt that it was necessary to send in a 5-page resume.
